Our Fathers day hike in the Headwaters National Park was fun, with minimal winning and complaining, which makes for a good time for everyone. We returned home for a nice family barbecue of turkey/veggie burgers, hot dogs, corn on the cobb and watermelon. What a great day!

Our First Harvest!
Our garden actually produced some lettuce! I always have seemed to kill house plants in the past, so I wasn't sure how a garden was going to work for us. There is a sense of satisfaction in growing and eating your own food. I didn't have to spend $3.00 for our organic lettuce that we ate for two nights. I highly recommend the book All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew if you are considering gardening, especially in raised beds. It's amazing what you can grow in small areas.
