More Wristwarmers....

I made these delicious thin mint cookies from 101cookbooks. They are way better and healthier than the Girl Scout thin mint cookies. Libby is a Girl Scout and it was torture for her and Emma to have all those cookies around, and me not letting them eat them because of the Trans Fats that they ALL contain. I came across this recipe and this is what I made for them instead. They loved them and they did not last long.

These are our cats Smokey (aka. Itty Bitty, smokito, friskito) and Nala. This is the extent of their hard cat lives that they lead. If they are not in this position they are sitting in mine or Pats lap.

We did it!
Or I should say, Pat did it! We have our first raised garden bed in our front lawn. At first I thought it was a crazy idea, but I found out that many people are starting to do the same thing. We have never gardened before, so this is going to be interesting! I do best with things you do not have to worry about and do much too. We might even dig up a spot next to the bed and grow some more stuff. Our front lawn is dead anyway. So hopefully, I will be posting pictures of our beautiful garden in a couple of months. If not I will be posting some pictures of a bunch of dead plants.

Fingerless Gloves
I have been knitting fingerless gloves (aka. gauntlets, wrist warmers) for the past month or so. I have been pretty bad at taking pictures and recording what I have done. I promise to be better in the future... I knitted my daughters Libby & Emma both a pair and Libby's friend Elizabeth a pair of gloves. Libby has worn hers so much that they look pretty bad. Elizabeth's look good, but I do not have a picture with her wearing them. I got the pattern from Knitter's Magazine in the same issue that I made Libby's Harry Potter hat. I made Emma's hat from a free pattern I found on Midnight Knitter to match the hat that I knitted her. I like knitting fingerless gloves because they knit up quick. I am currently working on my first pair of socks and have Elizabeth's sister who wants a pair of gloves now too. I am off to knit!
